Inclusivity & Accessibility at The UK Food & Drink Shows

We want everyone to enjoy their visit to The UK Food & Drink Shows and get the most out of the experience.

To help with this, we’ve put together some useful information about the event and venue. We’ve worked hard to make the show as accessible and inclusive as possible, and we hope many of your needs are already covered.

Registrations for the Show

If you are unable to complete the online registration form, our on-site team will be happy to help you register and print your ticket when you arrive at the show.

Sign Language Interpreter

Mobility Access

All areas of the NEC are accessible to wheelchair users via lifts, and both the Piazza and Atrium main entrances are equipped with automatic doors.

Accessible & Changing Facilities

Accessible toilets are available throughout the venue. Changing Places facilities are also available near Hall 20 (Atrium side) and Hall 2 (Piazza side), both of which can be accessed with a RADAR key.

These facilities offer extra space for up to two carers and include features to support additional needs, such as height-adjustable, adult-sized changing benches and a hoist system.

Mobility Equipment Hire

The NEC offers a range of mobility equipment for hire. To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking in advance.

Accessibility Centre

The mobility equipment desk is located between Hall 4 and Hall 5, near Londis and the medical centre. The desk is staffed on show days, and if the team is out delivering scooters or wheelchairs, a contact number will be displayed on the door.

Accessible Entrances

To ensure ease of access for all visitors, each bank of desks at the entrance includes a low-level registration desk. These desks are designed to accommodate wheelchair users and individuals who may require a seated or lower-height interaction point. Our team is always available to assist - please don’t hesitate to ask.

Cloakrooms

Cloakrooms are open 30 minutes before the show opens, until the close of show. Please note: Coats, bags, suitcases and umbrellas, will be permitted in the cloakroom at the daily cost of £2 per coat or umbrella, £3 per bag or piece of luggage.

 

Audio Recordings from the Stage

We will be recording audio from selected sessions across The UK Food & Drink Shows. We’ll do our best to ensure that session is recorded and that the audio file is made available to you post-show.

Seating

Low tables and chairs will be available in all areas of the shows, with a maximum of 3 chairs per table to allow space for wheelchairs.

Seating areas located in the Piazza have power sockets located on pillars. These can be utilised as charging spots.

Quiet Room and Prayer Room

We have a quiet space our attendees can use. This is located next to hall 3 by the doors to the train station.

 

 

 

Nursing Infants and Baby Changing Facilities

There will be a safe, private space available with table and chairs. Please speak to a member of the team in the Organisers Office for assistance. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted at any time during the exhibition - this includes build-up, breakdown and during show open.

Assistance Dogs

Trained assistance and guide dogs are welcome but please be mindful that certain environments, where noise levels or attendance numbers are high, can be stressful or confusing for assistance dogs. For the safety and wellbeing of your dog, please make them visible to staff and other visitors at all times.

Water Refill

There are water refill stations around the NEC which are clearly signposted.

All exhibitors are obligated to design their stands with accessibility in mind, following the Equality Act 2010, to ensure everyone can enjoy the show without barriers.

Electric mobility charging points: The seating areas within the shows will have power sockets located on pillars with work spaces for visitors to use. These can be utilised as charging spots.
